These paintings of Moby Dick were part of a group exhibition at the Radius Gallery in Missoula Montana titled “True Places in the summer of 2024.

I was drawn to the emotional torment of Captain Ahab and was interested in new ways of portraying the inner rage and torment that had manifested inside of him.

The show centered on scenes from the novel, but also explored some new avenues visually that I did not think had been captured before.
